The final step is showing that you’re doing your part to keep our community COVID Safe.
You can now download the official COVID Safe badge and posters to display within your business or through your business communications, so customers know you are following the Government guidelines to keep them safe when they visit you.
You can also get access to a unique QR code to help with customer record keeping.
To help you with contactless customer record keeping, we’ve created a unique, free QR code for your business that customers can scan when they visit. Customers will need to have the Service NSW app installed on their mobile to record their visit.
It collects validated and accurate information and sends it directly to Service NSW so you don’t need to worry about handling customer data yourself. It’s quicker for NSW Health to access the information if they need to, and easier for businesses to remain compliant with their record keeping.
Each COVID Safe registered business is provided a unique QR code.
You can print your QR code and customer instructions, or display them on a screen e.g. a tablet. Ask the customer to open the Service NSW app and follow the prompts to scan the code.
A quick visual check of the customer’s screen will allow you to verify that their details have been recorded.

If you need to collect your customers contact details, make sure you’re doing it in accordance with the guidelines.
Lastly, if you need to update or remove your contact details from COVID Safe, call the Service NSW call centre on 13 77 88 . You’ll need to do this if you’re leaving the business or your contact details change.
